There are several opportunities for exceptional individuals, passionate about solar energy and eager to establish a career in a super fast-growing sector of the green economy!

As a Solar Academy Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team leading the charge in training Canada’s solar workforce.  Solar Academy has  trained over 350 individuals in solar design, installation, finance, and law. We will train you in these specifics of the solar industry and more.

Solar Internship Program Details

- First, your internship begins with our intensive 5 Day Entry Level PV Design & Installation Course: Get an in-depth understanding of the solar industry!

- Next, work with our team to develop new educational modules and new industry contacts and also help us refine what is already in the works. We are seeking people with a wide range of interests, skills, and experience to develop new materials and web-based strategies, to give presentations and assist with trainings, and to do outreach, opening up new markets for solar education in various regions across Ontario.

We will do our best to match your passion and skills with the Academy’s goals and needs.

Candidates must be able to provide either: (a) a minimum 15 hours PT per week for up to 10 weeks or (b) a minimum 150 hours FT.

While there is no guarantee, past interns have continued on as paid employees of Ontario Solar Academy or have obtained gainful employment with other companies in the solar sector.

Cost: Selected Interns receive a substantial discount off the price of Ontario Solar Academy’s 5 Day Entry Level PV Design & Installation Course. Paid and Unpaid Internships are both available. The exact fees and pay are determined based on the the applicant’s skills and experience, as well as financial situation.

In circumstances of financial need, this fee can be paid off over time, or incorporated into an extended internship. Each candidate’s situation will be treated individually.
